Syd Barrett Dies

Syd Barrett, legendary former lead singer with Pink Floyd and '60s icon, has died at his home in England. He was 60.

He apparently died last Friday from complications related to diabetes.

His brother Alan confirmed his death today, telling the Guardian newspaper: "He died peacefully at home. There will be a private family funeral in the next few days."
